Summer is almost over, but that is no reason to be sad. Elmhurst Library will be kicking off the new school year with none other than the Amazin' Mets! Come join us for live music, a picnic, superhero face painting, back-to-school giveaways, and more! The fun begins at 12pm. Events include... 12pm: Music with DJ Omar Get on your dancing shoes! DJ Omar turns the music up and drops those familiar beats. Let's dance! 12pm: Face Painting with Party Colors Party Colors offers glitter, glam, and superhero face painting for kids. 1pm: Free Summer Meals Picnic We will be offering free, healthy, and delicious summer meals to youth, ages 18 and under. 3pm: Backpack Giveaway with the Mets Pick up a free Mets backpack for school, while supplies last. Please note: adults must be accompanied by a school-aged child to receive a backpack. Backpacks are supplied by the Amazin' Mets Foundation.
