New York Hall of Science Series at South Hollis

Get ready for some engaging, science-based activities at South Hollis Library this March! Light and Shadows--March 4, 2025 Shadow Show Time! Get ready to be a shadow artist. We'll use lights and fun things to make incredible shadow puppets. Force Motion--March 11, 2025 Become a rocket scientist! We'll learn about how things move and build awesome balloon-powered cars. We'll test them, race them, and see how we can make them go even faster! Delicious DNA--March 18, 2025 Participate in an activity demonstrating how the same units of DNA lead to the diversity of living things. Isolate and take home the DNA from a strawberry or a banana. All Charged Up--March 25, 2025 Kids will learn about electricity! They'll see how static electricity works, explore what materials let electricity flow and which ones stop it, and even build their own simple circuits. It's a hands-on adventure that will spark their curiosity!"
