English: Patricia McLaughlin grew up singing with her family and originally entertaining her parents, the late Lillie and Deacon George McLaughlin. Her parents realized her talent and enrolled her in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and she was later accepted to the High School of Music and Art. Patricia performed at many local venues, and at the age of 55, she placed 2nd and 3rd during an appearance at the legendary Apollo Theater.
