AANHPI Month: Origami

The art of paper (kami or gami) folding (oru) was brought to Japan in the 6th century. Due to how expensive paper was, it was only practiced by the exceedingly wealthy, or monks for religious ceremonies. Today, anyone can learn this ancient craft! Join us at the Far Rockaway Library for a free origami workshop. All skill levels are welcome!
