Culture Bridge: Celebrate the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival with WaFoo

Experience the timeless beauty of Sakura through the enchanting sounds of Koto and Shinobue with a special Culture Bridge performance featuring WaFoo. Sakura (cherry blossoms) are often seen as a symbol of Japan. Though not an official emblem, Sakura have long been cherished in Japan as a reflection of life’s fleeting beauty, renewal, and the changing seasons, as they have been celebrated in poetry and art for centuries. In this concert, these themes come to life through a selection of beloved children’s songs, popular hits, and original compositions, all deeply inspired by their cultural significance to the Japanese people. Join us for an evening where the delicate elegance of Koto and the ethereal tones of Shinobue unite, painting a musical landscape of Japan’s most cherished flower. This program is funded by a Starr Grant. Join here: https://queenslib.org/3Qx9yT Meeting ID: 858 5928 5657 Passcode: 563858
