Climate Ready: Getting Prepared for the Next Flood, Drought, or Worse

Climate Ready explores how climate change and extreme weather increasingly affect Queens’ residents and neighborhoods. With rising incidents of extreme heat, coastal storms, flash floods, high ozone levels, droughts, and brushfires, New Yorkers are facing growing environmental and health risks. Climate Ready offers workshops and online resources to help residents: • Understand the health impacts of climate change • Prepare for future environmental emergencies • Learn how laws and policies may affect them The goal is to build awareness and foster a more climate-resilient Queens.
