Be a part of the Voices of Queens, a Queens Public Library Podcast, and learn how to produce your own podcasts in this free workshop! Come along to pick up new presenting skills, audio recording skills, and editing skills, and learn what makes a podcast fun and entertaining. Your podcast can be about a range of topics – spread the word about new music and movies, talk about issues facing you and your peers, or investigate local history – the possibilities are endless. For ages 12 – 19.
This program is offered at the Queens Public Library for Teens in Far Rockaway and Central Library’s Teen Center. Completion of this course gives you scholarship opportunities, enhances your resume, and can even get you started on the road to a rewarding career in broadcast journalism, audio engineering, news reporting or radio. The first 15 participants to complete the program requirements will receive a special prize related to podcasting.
