Welcome to the Far Rockaway Teen Library!
No matter who you are, where you’re from, or where you want to go, at Queens Public Library, we speak your language.
This QPL location has Extended Wi-Fi. If you’re within 450 feet of this branch, you can connect automatically to our wireless network, QPL_Wi-Fi, whether we are open or closed, no sign-in required!
Teens will need a library card to enter the Far Rockaway Teen Library and reserve a time slot to use gaming systems and computers. Teens can apply for library cards inside the building.
Reservations can be made at reservation.queenslibrary.org. QR codes are also placed in the library’s windows for easy access to making reservations.
Reservations can be made a week in advance for up to 45 minutes per activity. Walk-in reservations can be made at the main desk if slots are available.
The Far Rockaway Teen Library has 24 public computers for teens and laptops, Apple iPads, a podcast area, a DJ booth, gaming systems, and Virtual Reality Oculus systems. The lounge, café, and homework area are inviting spaces for teens to engage in activities that support and encourage interaction among peers, multiple learning engagements, and a fun and safe environment.

Getting Here
To Far Rockaway/Mott Ave.(Last Stop). Head East on Mott Ave toward Gipson St. turn right onto Beach 20th St. Take the 1st right onto Cornaga Ave. Queens Library For Teens (2002 Cornaga Ave And Beach 20th) will be on the right.
Van Wyck Expy I-678 S toward Kennedy Airport, take exit 1 E on the left to merger onto NY-878 E/Nassau (Continue to follow NY 878 E), continue on Nassau Expy (Expy will end continue going straight), turn right at Central Ave, continue onto Beach 20th, turn right at Cornaga Ave (Building will be on the right on the corner of beach 20th and Cornaga Ave).
Free and metered parking is available along Central Avenue and on surrounding streets, east of the library. A municipal parking field is located two blocks away at Beach 21st street between Mott and Cornaga Avenues at the Far Rockaway terminal of the A train subway line. This facility provides 82 spaces including 4 handicap spaces and offers free 2 Hour-Limit parking.
