Illustrating the Graphic Novel with Teen Art Salon

Graphic novels are a rich gateway to the visual arts, allowing young artists to traverse worlds and develop their creative voices. In this art-intensive virtual program, tweens and young teens in Grades 6-8 will explore techniques for visual storytelling through drawing and discussion, including the essentials of establishing a sketchbook practice. This series is presented in partnership with Teen Art Salon, a Long Island City-based organization that provides young people with open-door, free-of-charge art instruction. Registration is required to participate. Register here: http://queenslib.org/GraphicNovel
