This climate discussion panel brings together diverse perspectives on the impacts of rain-based flooding events and subsequent responses from local residents, researchers, community organizations, and city agencies. During this program, we hope to share personal experiences and explore practical solutions that will help our neighbors become more prepared to weather extreme rain events in the future. Food and beverages will be served at 5:30pm ET. The panel will last from 6 -7pm, followed by audience Q&A. Queens Memory is currently in production on the fourth season of its award-winning podcast, which will focus on the borough’s changing climate and water issues. This event will be recorded and archived. Portions of the audio may be used for the podcast.
