Senior Scientist: Birding and Citizen Science

What kinds of birds live in Queens and where can I find them? How can I help scientists? Join us and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Dr. Tina Phillips and learn more about the birds that thrive in urban areas. You can use simple citizen science programs to help scientists while you learn to identify the birds in your area! Dr. Tina Phillips is a graduate of Cornell University and the Assistant Director of Engagement in Science and Nature at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, where she conducts social science research and evaluation across citizen science projects within and outside the Lab. Dr. Phillips's research interests center on understanding and documenting the educational, social, and conservation impacts of citizen science globally.
