Topics include inspirations, planning your ensemble, and historic techniques alongside modern adaptations. Everything the well-dressed middling woman requires will be covered. Dreitlein brings more than 25 years of expertise in 18th-century costume design, with extensive research in historical sewing techniques, textiles, and gown construction. She served two years as mantua maker at Elfreth’s Alley Museum, and her approach blends authenticity with modern practicality, emphasizing the joy of wearing historical garments while providing rich cultural context.
