Teen Art Salon is hosting a one-week art intensive for middle schoolers, focusing on the building blocks of visual storytelling. You will learn the basics of character design and illustrating environments. Explore the science of creature design, create figures using basic anatomy and gesture drawing, and draw inspiration from animation, manga, and graphic novels to practice depicting movement, settings, and narrative choices. You will receive a free sketchbook to dream, prepare, rehearse, record, and eventually realize your ideas. We invite all young artists who enjoy sketching original characters and unique worlds to join us. Open to rising 6th-9th graders. Space is limited, and registration is required.
