This program combines art, engineering, and environmental thinking to introduce students to real-world systems. Each workshop invites participants to build functional or sculptural objects while learning how materials and forces interact. Teens will investigate wind as a natural force that generates movement and interaction. Through building hanging kinetic structures, they explore how balance, weight, and spacing affect motion and sound.
Using found materials such as shells and metal objects, students experiment with how different materials respond to airflow and produce varying tones. This introduces concepts of physics, vibration, and environmental interaction in a
hands-on and sensory way.
