Journey of Hope from South America to New York: Performed by Percussia

Percussia will perform a musical depiction of the perilous journey many take with the hopes of a better life and a chance at the American Dream. New York City, and Queens in particular, has been a point of arrival for many years, but now we have reached what's considered to be a crisis point. What is lost in the politics of the situation is the human face of migration. Carlo Nicolau, himself an immigrant from Mexico, is using his humanity, compassion and creativity to tell a musical story of these journeys. This program is funded by the office of NYC Council Member Shekar Krishnan.
