Mes de la Herencia Hispana: Taller de Títeres

English: Up to 15 children will learn about making and using puppets. Participants will create their own puppets and then feature them in a theatrical performance. Participants will recreate Quico, a character from El Chavo del Ocho (a Spanish-language TV series that depicts the misadventures of Chavo, an orphan living alone in a Mexican vecindad). The class will then learn how to bring the puppet to life by making it move. Please note: In-person registration is required for this workshop.
Spanish: Hasta 15 niños aprenderán sobre la elaboración y manipulación de títeres para su uso en algún tipo de representación teatral, para teatro, televisión o cine. Los participantes recrearán a Quico, un personaje de El Chavo del 8 (serie de televisión en español que cuenta las desventuras del Chavo, un huérfano de ocho años que vive solo en una vecindad mexicana) y aprenderán a manipularlo sin ayuda mecánica. TENGA EN CUENTA: Es necesario registrarse en persona para este taller.
