Hispanic Heritage Month: Celebrate with David Cedeño and his Orchestra

Celebre el Mes de la Herencia Hispana con David Cedeño y su Orquesta

English: In the entertainment industry, there are two types of people: stars and artists. Stars often rise quickly, but their fame can fade just as rapidly. Artists, on the other hand, build their success more gradually, earning lasting respect and recognition over time. David Cedeño is one such artist. By age 14, David had already embarked on his artistic journey. As his career developed, he wanted to share his passion for music with a wider audience. Along with his orchestra, David performed a diverse range of genres, including Latin salsa, Latin jazz, merengue, ballads, and waltzes. Believing that "music is meant to be shared," David reimagined popular English songs by infusing them with a Latin salsa beat while keeping the original English lyrics. Some of these tracks include "Lady in Red," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "Somewhere," and "Sealed with a Kiss." This program is made possible with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Hearst Foundation.
