Hispanic Heritage: Day of the Dead Tradition

Join Mexican-born artist Aurelia Fernandez for a workshop exploring the ancient traditions of the Day of the Dead altar. She will demonstrate how to create these meaningful altars and guide attendees in crafting calaveras — clay versions of the elaborately decorated sugar skulls central to this Mexican tradition. This family-friendly crafts program welcomes people of all ages. Materials will be provided for up to 35 people, with space available on a first-come, first-served basis.
