Culture Bridge: Music From The Movies and Animated Media of East Asia

Ben Rosenblum (accordion), Marty Kenney (bass), and Jasper Dutz (multi-instrumentalist specializing in woodwinds and reeds) return for the second performance this season to Flushing Library, this time to perform selections from movies and animated media from East Asia. Rosenblum and Dutz have done hundreds of concerts performing songs from popular Japanese anime, including extensive explorations of Studio Ghibli movies featuring the music of Joe Hisaishi. Today's program will center around this music, with an expanded focus to include music from other popular media from East Asia.
