Come visit the Fresh Meadows Library to learn the art of drawing and shading using charcoal. This class is designed for beginners as well as intermediate students. Our focus will mainly be on landscape and still-life images. Students will learn how to more accurately capture value, creating texture with charcoal and even using the eraser as a drawing tool. As the series progresses, we will also learn how to capture any object by interpreting it as basic shapes. A fun yet very informative class in eight sessions. The teaching artist is Nigel Morgan.
