Celebrate the Culture of Manipur with Music and Dance

Manipuri Dance, a classical Indian form from Manipur, is known for its grace and lyrical beauty. Rooted in ancient rituals and later influenced by Gaudiya Vaishnavism, it includes two major forms: Rasleela, depicting Lord Krishna’s divine love stories, and Sankeertan, a devotional community prayer. The program highlights the Manipuri dance's intricate rhythms, acrobatic movements, and spiritual essence. This program is funded by New York State Assembly Member Clyde Vanel.
