Abdou Mboup is a musician, composer, and bandleader who plays a variety of instrument – congas, timbales, cymbals, the talking drum, the 21 string Kora and Xalam, as well as a five string African guitar. Born to a family of oral historians and musicians, he shares traditions transmitted generation to generation.
