「華工鋪建橫貫美國鐵路歷史圖片展覽」
English: May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time when we celebrate the culture, history, and contributions of AANHPI people. From 1865 to 1869, thousands of Chinese laborers played a vital role in constructing the first transcontinental railroad in the United States, at an astonishing speed and under hazardous working conditions. The completion of this railroad transformed the U.S. transportation and trade industries and had a profound impact on the U.S. economy that can be felt to this day. In celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month, we express our utmost gratitude to these laborers for their unwavering dedication, perseverance, and remarkable contributions to our country. This exhibition is hosted by APAPA New York and Flushing Library.
