QUEENS, NY_ Queens Public Library today announced that Bibliotele, a new Spanish-language streaming platform, is now available free of charge to all library cardholders. The service expands the Library’s digital resources with a wide range of culturally relevant, high-quality audiovisual content, including educational programming and entertainment for Spanish-speaking communities.

Bibliotele helps families stay connected to their language and culture through unlimited viewing of a curated collection of movies, series, documentaries, theater, children’s programming, and telenovelas, along with original live programs developed in partnership with various Latino institutions and organizations nationwide, covering topics such as immigration, education, health, entrepreneurship, and civic rights—all entirely in Spanish and ad-free.

“Queens is home to one of the most diverse populations in the world, and we are committed to providing resources that reflect the languages, cultures, and interests of the communities we serve,” said QPL Chief Librarian Nick Buron. “Bibliotele offers our Spanish-speaking customers another way to access engaging content and information in their own language, right from home or on the go. We are thrilled to add this valuable platform to our growing collection of digital offerings.”

“We created Bibliotele to support libraries in serving Latino communities with content that feels relevant, empowering, and rooted in culture,” said David Padilla, CEO and founder of Bibliotele. “We’re honored to partner with Queens Public Library to make this resource available to families in the Worlds Borough.”

Designed for flexibility and ease of use, Bibliotele is accessible on Smart TVs, mobile devices, tablets, computers, and even offline. To start watching content for free, customers simply need to create a Bibliotele account using their library card.
