At a free workshop at Queens Library at Sunnyside, we learned how to create small, soil-less farms--gardens that can be "planted" in apartment windows. To make these window farms, we used an air pump, some hydroponics gardening supplies and a few upcycled water bottles. One lucky patron went home with the home-made system (pictured here)!
