HOW DO I FIND AN ARTICLE?
You can start your search in several ways:
- Looking for articles, but not sure which database to search? Then, try the search box below. It will check several of our popular research databases, as well as, online encyclopedias and Queens, Brooklyn, and New York Public Library Catalogs. Enter a keyword or phrase such as: global warming.
- If you want to search just “Newspapers & Magazines” or multiple subjects, such as Education and Social Sciences OR if you want to combine multiple keywords, title, author, etc. in a search, then click on “Advanced Search” below. You can combine search terms and choose databases by topic and format.
- Know which database you want to search? You can select it from either Research Databases By Name or By Subject at the right of this page. Each database will have a help screen for tips on how to search. Ask your librarian for additional assistance.
- Want to search for an article in a specific magazine or journal? Click on the link below to search by exact title or browse titles by subject. You will then be able to search within the title OR view all articles from a specific issue.
