The International Resource Center (IRC) is a citywide resource of information and materials about the peoples, cultures and economies of the world. It is located on the 3rd level of Queens Library at Flushing in Queens, New York City. It houses books, newspapers, magazines, videos, CDs, and online databases in English and other international languages for general readers. The IRC has special collections, such as the Han Collection on Chinese Culture, the Window on Dynamic Korea, and the Window of Shanghai. The center holds more than 70,000 items, over 90 percent of which can be borrowed. It is a unique concentration of resources for global studies and international commerce rivaling any that is available free to the public anywhere.
